Library Services at SDI

SDI has a 52 seating capacity well-stocked library with well over sixteen thousand books and scores of volumes. As would be expected, our library is a custodian of publications in a cross section of areas including: Accounting, Auditing, Business Communication, Consultancy, Customer Care, Education, Finance, Local Government, Information Technology, Law, Malawi Public Service Regulations, Management, Office Management, Taxation, and Training and Development.

In order to be in step with the times, the Institute continues to purchase new books and subscribe to professional journals of international acclaim to enable it competently meet the challenges of training and research within a changing business environment.

The SDI Library does not operate in isolation. It has an inter-loan service system with National Library Service, Civil Service Libraries, and University of Malawi Libraries. Our library is served by a trained team and is open to course participants and members of staff.
