Mr. Mndaka is Head of Department (Local Government Department) at Staff Development Institute. He is an integral part in capacity development of members for local authorities in Malawi. Mr. Mndaka holds a Masters Degree in Management in the field of Public and Development Management from University of the Witwatersrand (RSA), BA Human Resource Management from Chancellor College, University of Malawi and Diploma in Education from Domasi College of Education.
With over 10 years of professional experience as a Human Resource Development and Training Consultant, Mr. Mndaka is so compassionate to inculcate in people the moral values and culture of public value through training based on systematically identified gaps and needs. He has been an integral tool in the formulation of Revenue Mobilisation Manuals, Project Management and Training Manuals for Members of Local Authorities. He has expertise in Management and Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Labour Relations, Project Management, Decentralization and Local Governance, Rural Development, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Change Management, just to mention a few.
As Head of Local Government Department, Mr. Mndaka coordinated the national orientation programme for ward councillors in 2014 soon after their election into power. Furthermore, having unique blend of visionary leadership and competencies and a proven ability to manage and complete projects to the highest standard, Mr. Mndaka was a lead facilitator for council members’ trainings in Mulanje, Machinga, Thyolo, Chiradzulu and Luchenza councils organized by PACENET in 2014.
Mr. Mndaka has a record of superior results in a variety of challenging and multicultural environments. In 2008, he received certificate of recognition from ABE (UK) for tutoring a candidate who came out the best candidate in Performance Management and Reward World wide in December 2008 Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management.
